I don't know where he went and I don't care. I threw out my spell and Mr. Mojo came home. Hallelujah! I had some time to create this weekend. The weather was nasty, so my plans to drive to West Virginia were postponed. Dave is still recovering from surgery, so he wasn't up for doing much (though we did go to the movies. Check out Breaking In! It was pretty good!). That left me with some time on my hands. I'm reading an awesome book (another thing to check out if you haven't read it already. I'm late to the bus on this one. The Book Thief is thought provoking and so well written). However, I just couldn't sit still anymore. Ideas were running through my brain and had to come out. They were like the little winged keys in Harry Potter. You know the ones. Poke, poke, poke. OUCH. And then you get the right one and it opens all kinds of doors.
I hightailed it up to my craft room. I had precolored a bunch of Harry Potter images and they were doing a little dance, calling me. It helps that I needed to make a Harry Potter card for a swap partner, I think. But, shh...don't tell her that. I haven't mailed my swap yet.
These little guys got moved all around until I found a configuration I liked. It involved a lot of clear acetate to make them stand higher.
I started with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Die. I printed some Harry Potter newspaper images from Google. I had to resize them in Word to make them super tiny. I used a Golden Snitch die from Character World, while the Dobby die cut, papers, and sign are from Paper Play. All were purchased on Simon Says Stamp. Harry, Hermione and Ron are from The Greeting Farm. Hagrid is Sweet Stamp Shop, I believe. I have lost his packaging. As usual, they are colored with copics.
Time to whip out the copics again and color some more of these cuties! Thanks for stopping by today. I always enjoy visits. And comments!!! Please leave one.

Whoops! This post is way overdue!!!
My friend Sara's birthday was way back in the early part of the month. I made her a card but didn't want to post it since she is a frequent visitor to this blog. Well, she told me that she got the card, loved it, and so forth. Yeah, that was something like 10 days ago. I should have posted it long before now. Better late than never, as the saying goes. Plus, I am going to a crop tomorrow and don't feel like packing, so posting on my blog allows me to do something other than pack and yet still feel productive. So, here she is:
She's an adorable stamp from Sweet Pea, illustrated by Conie Fong. She's called "Flowers on the Beach" and you can find her here. Isn't she precious? This card has a lot of my typical crafting style, which is to say, grab any nearby embellishment and toss it at the card until something suits. As you can see, lots of metal, flowers, punches, stick pins, even a button and some cheesecloth. I also played around a bit with some frantage. I think the silver frantage works great with this image; it looks kind of black Hawaiian beachy. I'm waiting on some of the white frantage, though. I ordered it a while ago but it got held up. Darnit all. I am not patient and hate waiting!
This cutie was colored with copics. I've added some bling in the flower centers. I also distressed the edges of the papers, which are Graphic 45. I guess that's about it. I have to go pack now. I don't feel like it, but it would kind of suck to go to a crop with nothing to do all day!!! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Seas the Day
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I normally spend Easter Sunday at my aunt's house, then rush over to my inlaws' for dinner. Unfortunately, my aunt was not able to host this year due to multiple circumstances beyond her control. I was pretty disappointed, but totally understood her dilemma. I decided to turn the day into something good, which means I slept in, lazed around a bit, and did some crafting.
I have awesome friends who remind me in many ways of how amazing and thoughtful they are. My friend Sara is one of those. For my birthday, she gifted me with two stamps that I really wanted from a recent release at Whimsy. Shelly is one of those. She just makes me smile, chillin' on the rock with her little turtle friend. I was able to visit Sara a few weeks ago, where I stamped off my new images and colored them up. However, I didn't get the time until yesterday to put her on a card. Check her out:
Isn't she precious? As usual, she's stamped with Memento Ink on XPress It paper, then colored with copics. Patterned papers are a mix of American Crafts and Simple Stories. The cardstock is Bazzill. Sentiments are from CC Designs and Whimsy. I also used multiple dies on this card, some magic mesh, ribbon from my stash, and cheesecloth.
I added bling to her hair and fins, glossy accents to the turtle shell, and liquid pearls to her hair and the rock. I also threw on a few adhesive pearls and used a sharpie pen on their cheeks.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Pretty Little Ribbon - spring is in the air (to me, this image says warm weather and I hope the colors make you think of spring)
Cutie Pie Challenge Blog - Favorite Film (I love anything by Disney, so the Little Mermaid it is!)
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Go Girly
As always, thanks for stopping by! Happy spring!

Grab your wings and fly!
It's time for another challenge at Guylou's Inimitability. This time, it was my friend Sara's turn to play host. Unfortunately, Sara recently had to step down from the DT. We sure do miss her, and in honor or her, we're going forward with her challenge idea. All you have to do is make a project that features something with wings. That's it! Things with wings!!
For my project, I used this adorable fairy. She makes me smile.
It's hard to tell in the pic, but I added some bling to all of the flowers. The image was colored with copics. I wanted her to be bright and happy, and really capture the eye, so I went for some really saturated color. I also tried to keep the card mostly flat, as it will be sent to Operation Write Home so a soldier can wish his/her mom a wonderful Mother's Day.
You have until 10 pm EST on Thursday, March 15th to enter your project featuring things with wings. You could win a $10 gift card to Guylou's store, as well as the opportunity to appear as a guest designer on a future challenge!
I'd also like to take this opportunity to welcome Roxann to our team. She's been an active participant in our challenges and has guest DT'ed a time or two. We're happy to have her on our team permanently! You can check out her blog to see just how lucky we are to get such a great talent and a great personality. The link is in my left sidebar. Welcome to G's DT family, Roxann!
Happy crafting!
Oh, my goodness! I almost forgot. I know I've told you in the past about G's generosity. Well, she's decided to help out all of you wonderful people in blogland. She's giving away a freebie, for 24 hours only on March 2nd. Just go to www.guylou.com on March 2nd, add the fairy bear to your cart, and enter the code 201203-FAIRY-BEAR to get her for FREE. She's perfect for this challenge, too!
