I've always found sympathy cards to be so difficult to make. When you knew the person and saw them somewhat frequently, it isn't just difficult; it's gut wrenching. It's a punch direct to the heart. The whole time you're making it, you're trying so hard not to think about what it means that you have to make this card. You're trying not to think about the hell his family are going through. Well, in this case, that's what happened for me. A coworker recently passed. He was young (48) and left behind a wife and two children.
